ABOUT US
Perhaps you are wondering where our quirky name came from... No? Well we are going to tell you anyway.
The time? A warm summer's eve. The place? A small canal boat in Kings' Cross with mountains of books. After a rummage, we found one we liked. The kind salesman told us a short story - the story of "The Duck and the Kangaroo" by Edward Lear. Up until this point we had been very keen to start a blog and this day sealed the deal because we finally had a name. Duck & Roo was born!
We hope to inform you and even lend a helping hand, but most importantly we hope to entertain.

CAITLIN
I am an eager performer who loves all things musical theatre and I have fed my passion by attending stage school for 10 years! I am also a keen reader and cook who loves mostly crime mysteries and baking. I am a tea enthusiast and have a slight issue with decision making (mostly because I enjoy so many things). Recently, I have developed a love of reading and writing poetry. Finally, I am the duck of the duo, mainly because I'm short and I talk a lot.

Emma
Like Caitlin, I love tea; something that will probably be evident if you look through certain blog posts. I'm a general foodie and an avid traveller, so, through my writing, I hope to take you with me on my expeditions and ideally get some recommendations from you too. Now to scare most of you away: I also love science. I look forward to sharing my passion and for those of you that don't like science, I hope you enjoy my writing anyway (considering it's mostly not academic).
